17-12-08 13:53:08

IT'S BIG

IT'S BAD

IT'S A BELUGA

FREE AudioUnit and VST PHASE DISTORTION for OS X only (sorry)

made by me in SonicBirth

In order to use this plug-in (AU or VST) you need to download and install this free plug-in authoring software, so that you have all the libraries. This is worth getting even if you don't like/use my design.

Both AU and VST are in the same zip. Place the .component and/or .vst in the relevant directory under user/library/audio/plug-ins

CHEERS.

Firstly, very kind of you to offer this free au/vst, i always rely on the kindness of strangers,

secondly i was wondering if you have made any more in sonic birth..?

i downloaded the program a little while ago but find the whole process rather daunting, so i was wondering if you possibly have any simple designs that could possible help a total beginner?

of course don't go out of your way or anything, only if you have some lying around like.

thanks again

Thanks for both downloading and leaving a comment... appreciated.

I have made a couple of other things in SonicBirth, but nothing spectacular. The Phase Distortion was my first attempt and I remember what it was like approaching the program.... it has its own special way of doing things... they all do (which is good).

I made a really crap tempo-independent (I haven't bothered figuring it out heh) LFO-modulated Low-pass filter, where you can choose the frequency and resonance of the LP and then decide on how much modulation etc from the LFO and the LFO speed and phase...... REALLY simple. Oh and independent wet/dry sliders (you can do a wet/dry knob in SB, but I prefer the separate ones personally)

Anyway, I have uploaded it so that you can open it up and see what i going on and hopefully you will get something from it!

To test a plug-in design in SB, use the 'sound server' window ad open up an audio file, then click in the blank space on the layout (purple) and scroll down the settings window and check 'runtime'.... and fiddle.

Thanks!
